Recognize Optical Characters on Windows Image Viewer

Requirements

Before recognizing optical characters on the Windows Image Viewer, make sure that you have installed.

Start to Zonal OCR

Open your Windows Imaging Viewer and load a document;
Click on the "OCR" button on the menu to select it;
Open OCR table;
Select "Automatic Zonal OCR" to automatically segment files into various zones;
Select "Manual Zonal OCR" to start OCR in region of interest;
Click "OK" to start;
Click "Cancel" to stop OCR process.

Create Searchable PDF File

Open your Windows Imaging Viewer and load a document;
Click on the "OCR" button on the menu to select it;
Open OCR table;
Select "Manual Zonal OCR" to start OCR in region of interest;
Click "OK" to start;
After OCR, select "Searchable PDF" in "Output Format" to change OCR results into searchable PDF;
Click "Save".
